John 9:8 KJV The neighbors therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, is not this he that sat and begged?
Just like the blind man, we go to Jesus as one person, and leave another person. And people who knew the way we were can't believe the way we are now and ponder how is this the same person? Well, we're not that person anymore. That in itself, inspires a desire for change in them. Good job, saint. Godspeed. Pastor Dilworth

On February 21st, 2023 Dimmit Regional Hospital Trauma Services hosted a Rural Trauma Team Development Course at the Carrizo Springs Civic Center. The course was presented by surgeons and nurses from University Hospital, Brooke Army Medical Center, and the Southwest Regional Advisory Council in partnership with the American College of Surgeons. Among the attendees were medical staff from Dimmit Regional Hospital, Dimmit Regional Rural Health Clinic, Carrizo Springs CISD, Crystal City ISD, Vida y Salud Health Systems, and Uvalde Air Life. The class covered topics regarding advanced trauma life support efforts in the rural setting, from pre-hospital treatment and stabilization, to hospital care in the emergency room, medical/surgical floor and transfer out to facilities with more resources and personnel not available in rural settings. Practical exercises were also conducted in stations with participants working in teams. The course focused on approaching the care of a critical trauma patient to improve patient outcomes. Thanks to our CEO Dr. John Graves, the administration at Dimmit Regional Hospital, the Dimmit Regional Hospital Auxiliary Club, as well as all the folks at STRAC, Brooke Army Medical Center, and University Hospital - University Health Special thanks to Crystal City EMS for providing equipment, The City of Carrizo Springs for providing the Civic Center and all those who participated in this event.
