The County of Dimmit is accepting bid proposals for Road and Bridge: Motor Grader with Trade-in and Financing.Specifications can be picked up at the Office of Dimmit County Judge, Francisco G. Ponce, at 103 N. 5th Street , Carrizo Springs , Texas or call (830) 876-2323 (ext. 6).
Bid Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010. All Bids will be opened and awarded on the next available Commissioner’s Court Meeting.
Please forward bids to the Office of Francisco G. Ponce, Dimmit County Judge, at 103 North 5th Street , Carrizo Springs , Texas 78834 . Bid envelopes must be clearly marked “PROPOSED BID FOR ROAD & BRIDGE MOTOR GRADER.”

West Texas Gas, Inc. issues this public notice to provide information concerning certain facilities and operations in Frio, Dimmit, Zavala, Uvalde, Maverick, Kinney, and Val Verde Counties of Texas.EXCAVATION
West Texas Gas, Inc. operates buried natural gas pipelines and facilities in the above Texas Counties. WTG has markers placed along the pipeline routes, but because of possible damage or vandalism, these markers (signs) may not be apparent at all points along the pipeline right-of-ways. Due to our concern for the safety of people and property along our pipeline routes, we request that all persons who anticipate digging, excavating, boring, drilling, or blasting in the vicinity of facilities call 1-888-334-4912.
A West Texas Gas employee will be available, free of charge to check your area, locate our facilities and mark a safe area.
In addition, state law requires each excavator to contact a one call locate service. This one call service will then notify each operator of buried utilities that you intend to dig in an area that may contain buried utilities (water, gas, electric, telephone, etc.). This service and call are free. Contact the Texas Excavation Safety Service at 1-800-334-8377.
Please notify West Texas Gas if the following situations occur in relation to a pipeline or other facilities we operate:
• THE ESCAPE OF GAS FROM A PIPELINE – This may be detected by smell, hissing sound, or an unexplained area of dead vegetation in the vicinity of our facilities).
• FIRE OR EXPLOSION OCCURING NEAR OUR FACILITIES
• VANDALISM OR THEFT OR PIPELINE MARKERS

In the event of an EMERGENCY involving a West Texas Gas facility: EVACUATE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY; NOTIFY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRE DEPARTMENT AND WTG; DO NOT RETURN TO THE AREA UNTIL ADVISED BY OFFICIALS

La compania mantiene canerias de gas y edificios en los condados de Texas nombrados aqui. La compania WTG tiene marcadores a lo largo de las rutas de canerias de gas. Con el hecho que hay la posibilidad de dano o vandalismo a esos marcadores, quizas estos marcadores no estan como deben estar. Esto nos causa concernimiento a la gente y la propiedad de nuestra comunidad. Les pedimos que caulquier persona que tiene planes de cultivar, excavar, taladrar o usar polvora en la vecinidad de nuestras edificaciones, llame al 1-888-334-4912.
Un representante de WTG estará disponible, sin cobro a usted, para examinar el area donde piensa trabajar y localizar nuestras canerias y amarcar una area sin peligro para usted.
Además la ley del estado de Texas requiere a cada excavador que haga una llamada a WTG para obtener nuestro servicio. La llamada nos permite notificar a cada operador de lineas enterradas de servicios (agua, gas, electricidad, telefonicas, etc.) Esta llamada es gratis. Favor de avisar a WTG si las siguientes situaciones ocurren en relación a una caneria o alguna edificacion que nosotros mantenemos: El escape de gas de una caneria. Esto se podra notar por el olor de gas, un silbido parecido a una serpiente, una area en la vegetacion que esta seca; Fuego o explosion; Vandelismo o robo de nuestroa marcadores.
En caso de una EMERGENCIA, evacue el area inmediatamente. Avise a las autoridades de la ley (policia, bomberos o WTG). No regrese a el area, hasta que los oficiales le informen que no hay peligro y que puede usted regresar.
